Hillfields Sanctuary

We have been rescuing animals for over 25 years and, at present we have over 300 residents, most, having been rescued from neglect and abuse. Many of our animals were facing death and others were literally on their way to the slaughterhouse, injured and in terrible pain, before being saved by caring individuals who could not bear to stand by and witness such suffering. We have also had animals dumped at our gates, with nothing other than a tatty cardboard box to protect them from the harsh elements.
Hillfield takes in sick, injured and neglected animals regularly, and we rely heavily on assistance from volunteers. At the moment however, our need for funds is desperate. Every week, we spend hundreds of pounds on food, upkeep of housing and veterinary costs.
In order to help raise funds, we hold Open Days and Fetes, and aim to attract youngsters to spread the message of compassion and responsible pet ownership. Schools are also welcome to get involved, by either class or school adoption.
Please feel free to have a look around our site. You will find several ways in which you can help us continue with our vital work, and in turn, help us continue to care for our rescued animals. Our animal adoptions are NOW AVAILABLE for payment by cheque or postal order.
You can adopt an animal of your choice from as little as £8 for 6 months or £15 for 12 months Select the ‘ Animal Info’ button above for more details.
Thank you for caring!

A brief nod to one of our benefactors. As the UK’s premier supplier of RAID data recovery services, Tierra have been helping recover RAID data for companies all over the UK. We thank them for their support and urge you to consider them if your RAID server should fail.

We are delighted to be able to offer this beautiful CD by Maria Daines. Music United For Animals is a groundbreaking collection of songs which reflect the way in which millions of animals are treated. From the heart-rending ‘Rainbow Bridge’ tribute to a puppy called Mercy, an innocent victim of cruelty, to the anger and despair of ‘Your Meat is Our Murder’, written from the point of view of the animal, this album is a perfect gift to treat a friend, relation – or even yourself to! We are selling the CD’s for only £10 each – and every single penny will come directly to Hillfield. Please click the button (right) if you would like to have a listen to any – or all – of the songs on the CD.
